About
Scott Ellis is a consultant and entrepreneur with a passion for building businesses and improving the way they operate. With several efforts of his own currently underway Scott has set out to help those interested in starting their own businesses to succeed by overcoming the obstacles and unknowns, and applying big business principles learned from years of consulting to small and start-up businesses. In a world where business is ever shifting, it is Scott’s goal to help enable anyone who wishes to take their fate into their own hands to be successful.
Scott’s passion for small business is founded in the understanding that our businesses must evolve along with the our ever changing marketplace, that creativity is key and doesn’t happen from inside the walls of a little gray cubicle and that simplicity is often far more powerful and effective than complexity. Most of all, there is no reason that most small businesses should not succeed, despite the fact that most will fail in the first 1-5 years.
As a business consultant, Scott works for Protiviti, a leading provider of risk management solutions from business process automation to addressing governance, risk and compliance needs for companies worldwide. Scott specializes in Strategic Alliances, IT Applications Controls and Processes (including such systems as SAP, Oracle and Vignette) and e-Discovery Litigation support.
As an entrepreneur, Scott is a partner in DZX Medical, Corp., a medical education and marketing firm, EBS Properties, L.P., a real estate investment company and BlackBox Technologies, a web-presence service provider and trusted IT adviser to individuals and small-to-medium businesses. Scott’s latest venture, vsellis.com is aimed at helping small businesses and entrepreneurs to succeed in their en devours.
Scott also has a passion for non-Profit work and applying the business improvements developed for profit corporations to non-profit organizations and has been able to do so through his involvement with the Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce (DJCC) as the VP of Operations and the Chairman of the Johnny Sides Rookie of the Year Awards. Scott is currently running for the position of President on the DJCC board for 2008.
