The Independent Economist was started in an effort to fill what I felt was a gap in the media for explaining economics as relevant and applied to politics in modern times and with historical perspective. More importantly, I felt there was a need for that information to be explained in plain English and without political bias. By taking a non-partisan approach I hope the contributors to that site can enlighten, entertain and most importantly educate readers on what are sometimes complex topics that are often oversimplified by the media, and for which the general population may not know where to look for objective explanations.
I am not a writer on the Independent Economist, merely the editor and publisher.
